Grades and what separates them
The top of the range, for products where matcha is the flavour and the colour is the selling point. Straight preparation, premium retail, specialty foodservice.
The working grade for most commercial applications. Strong enough for a latte to taste of matcha, priced for a product that has to hit a shelf margin.
For baking, ice cream, confectionery and applications where matcha is one input among many and heat or sugar will dominate the profile.
What we will and will not tell you
Plenty of suppliers will. If our supplier paperwork does not support an origin claim, we do not make it, and you do not inherit a claim you cannot defend to a retailer or an auditor.
EU Organic certification under LV-BIO-02 applies to specific certified products, not to our site or our full range. We will name the certified items. Any supplier telling you their whole catalogue is organic is worth a second look.
Certificate of Analysis follows an annual testing plan. Per batch CoA is available but has to be specified before you order, because the testing itself can take several weeks. We would rather say that now than at dispatch.
If we can meet it, you get a spec sheet, documentation samples and a price. If we cannot, we will say so. Minimum order depends on grade and format, so we scope it against your actual specification.
